In the fall of 2022, Creating Habitats for Pollinators (CHP) planted >1,000 sq. ft. of wildflowers along a fence line in the Tateswood subdivision in suburban Lexington, KY. The area was tilled three times between Sept.-Nov. before seeding. Located in planting Zone 6, the seed mix included perennial native plants like Butterfly Weed, Lance Leaf Coreopsis, Purple Prairie Clover, Red Columbine, Wild Lupine, and Blanket Flower.
The flowers began blooming in April 2023 (pictures below).
