Historic Cemetery & Municipal Airport

In April 2023, in conjunction with Dartmouth College’s Class of 1989 Wildflower Project, Creating Habitats for Pollinators (CHP) assisted in the planting of nearly 20,000 sq. ft. of wildflowers at two locations in Lebanon, NH. These sites were located in a historic cemetery and at the West Lebanon Municipal Airport. The areas were tilled in March/April before seeding in late April.

Located in planting Zones 5a and 5b, the seed mix included annual flowers like Patridge Pea, Indian Blanket, and Cornflower and perennial native plants like Butterfly Weed, Swamp Milkweed, New England Aster, Wild Lupine, and Ox-Eye Sunflower. The flowers began blooming in June 2023 (pictures below).
